I am optimistic about America and haven’t been in a long time. Obama has brought hope to a lot of us. You people are spouting too many half truths and propaganda from scare tactics. America will be stronger as a result of Obama’s vision.

LOL!!! This was great. Unfortunately it went in one ear and out the other. Obama doesn’t care what ANYBODY thinks. He thinks HIS morality and vision for, not just America but the world, is on a par with God. He wants us to literally worship him and all those opposed to get out of the way or “we’ll force you out”. The problem with this healthcare ‘opt out’ for the individual states is even if your state does ‘opt out’ you have to pay into the system for the other states that ‘opt in’. That is not right and just plain stupid. If certain states support the public option let their residents pay for it. Leave the states that don’t alone. Simple and fair.
You know SSI (that is SSI not SS) and Medicare don’t tax you or penalize you for opting out; the new healthcare would. Not only that but they don’t tax you on medical devices which the new plan would. I bet if there were more companies that could sell to these people they would have a choice. Regulations (by the states) and restrictions make this difficult at best.
When you say “you people” are you speaking to me? My insurance has not dropped me and I actually have an illness. Sure payments, premiums, deductibles and the like go up but there are other plans and companies you or your employer can go to. But thanks to the state governments there are not as many to choose from as there would be if they would get out of the way.
This is 100% wrong. I’ve always had complete respect for Dragnet and its stars. Here you are trying to make them appear ignorant of the facts about health.
You know you can opt out of SS and Medicare if you want. Just like you will be able to with the new one. These people want to be on it and complain about dark fantasies that have bases in reality.
What a choice to be dropped from coverage when you actually have an illness? To be denied coverage because you were raped years earlier? To have payments go up 15% in a year? Do you people live in the real world?
I for one do not believe everything I hear. And I respect those who believe different from what I believe as long as they speak for themselves and for others.
With all due respect @cosmosgato if you truly felt the way you say you do about that video, you would not be calling people who may not agree with you, nasty names. Please understand that the Public Option may include the word Option but does not mean we will always have a choice.
Being manipulated by whom? If people on the left can protest and destroy things and not be following someone or some group, but thinking for themselves, then surely people on the right can do the same. Perhaps people who are on Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid have seen what the government has done to those public programs and are speaking out for themselves.

@cosmosgato Those Nuts you refer too is the grounding of America. The Grass Roots which is not necessarily the Republicans. Those NUTS are the check and balances of this countries Morals. Because of those basic Morals you can live Free in this country. Gov is trying to take that away from you. This reverse racism is a bigger problem than people without health care or people paying taxes. Do you think Martin Luther King would have supported what you just said? America has been trying to get rid of racism for the past 40 years and mindsets like this are keeping it.
