PTSD is an altered physiological state of existence that anyone/everyone can be put into. It is created to protect us, so why is it so stigmatized and difficult for doctors to treat? THe comorbidities are endless, but there are benefits to having your Amygdala as the new ‘Crown’ or chief of your mind. You do get extra-testosterone, extra-adrenaline, and are much quicker. THe benefits must be accepted and the frazzled visuals and uneasy feelings will dissipate with time.

I hate animal sexual visuals–yuck! Could make a point about sex without going there? 4 F’s the last one stood for something else___. lol.

What a joke you have stated and a complete falsehood too. I see all ages doing crossword puzzles. You are just describing a stereotype applied to old people. You mean to tell me you never did cross word puzzles when you were young? (hence the reason you see old ppl doing crosswords.) LOL What a pile of crap you just put forth.

Great stuff! I’ve studied the Amygdala for years and this is the most in-depth break-down of this subject. Great work! Thanks.

It seems that when you say “homosexual” you are only referring to male homosexuals. Not all homosexuals are males though. Lesbians are homosexuals too. So if it’s a lesbian we’re talking about, does she have the large connector-thingy between both the left and right amygdalas or is it more like a males? By the way you lump both genders together, by saying “homosexual,” you’re making it sound like they would.

Holy mother of Cher! I always knew that there’s a third sex ! this guy just said it… “male, female or homosexual”

I loved this video

abdula31 November 5, 2009 at 9:27 am

whatever, this is so absurd that i won’t take time to explain even a little. Half of it might be true, the other half is ready for the bucket.

MaelMan82 November 5, 2009 at 9:27 am

any part of your brain you dont use, atrophes just just any muscle… hence the reason you see old ppl doing crosswords.

MaelMan82 November 5, 2009 at 9:27 am

you think? based on any research or experimenting of your own I assume?

gortex52 November 5, 2009 at 9:27 am

Notice from 0:23.

The four F’s? He says feeding, fighting, fleeing and sex. That’s three F’s and one S.

Unless… Oh! Cheeky bastards! :D

abdula31 November 5, 2009 at 9:27 am

The fact they can’t explain why some brain seem different then another like with a ‘homosexual’ type of brain, doesn’t mean it’s a different type of brain.

abdula31 November 5, 2009 at 9:27 am

I think they’re nuts. There are just two brains.

this is a good lecture. but the pictures you edited in are totally annoying.

I’m not going to open a debate on this. One thing you should learn: you don’t have the right to prejudge me or others. You can give opinion to someone on what do you feel about him in case you are asked by the person itself, but calling someone an idiot is a direct offense…
